Digitilisation set the tone at EuroBLECH 2018, the world’s leading exhibition for the sheet metal-working industry.

The 25th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition, EuroBLECH 2018, took place from 23–26 October 2018 in Hanover, Germany. Around 56,301 visitors from around the world came to Hanover for an overview of the latest innovations and digital technologies for sheet metal working and to invest in new manufacturing machinery. A total of 1,507 companies from 40 countries exhibited at this year’s show.

ISMR was present at the show with a booth in Hall 14, and copies of ISMR were given out at the show entrances. The four days of the show saw crowded halls, busy stands and the launch of new technologies and products. You can read the interviews that ISMR did with exhibitors in this issue, many of them highlighting advances in new technology and processes as well as cooperative ventures and strong new initiatives, as well as our full EuroBLECH report, in the November issue of ISMR

As the industry embraces Industry 4.0, Big Data and digitalisation, EuroBLECH showcased key sheet metal technologies and innovations to help manufacturers navigate a path towards the Smart Factory.

In addition to EuroBLECH, Mack Brooks Exhibitions is organising a range of sheet metal working exhibitions in different markets this year. The next BLECH India will take place from 25-27 April 2019 in Mumbai. AsiaBLECH 2019 will be held in Chengdu City from 20-22 November 2019. The first BLECH France will also take place from 21-23 January 2020 in Paris, France.
